"The more coherent the observer is, the more refined and unified the observed reality becomes. (What we express, we know!)"

Larry Krantz: Today, Joyce and I would like to consider the magic of consciousness. To begin our time, here is an excerpt from a video that I find quite remarkable. It shows a portion of a love theme played by an orchestra in Hong Kong. The amazing part is that the featured pianist is a three-year-old boy. Here it is: https://toneoflife.org/recordings/Baby-Barron.mp4

How is that possible? Three years old! He can’t read. His feet can’t reach the pedals. To me, it is more than watching a musical prodigy, but something transcendent—a connection with a higher source that comes through an aperture and enables this toddler to do what he does.

The usual human state is confined to two dimensions: physical and mental, with attached feelings and emotions. Above them is a ceiling, as it seems to most. What is above that is unknown. In this limited state, when people think about God or what happens after death, no one really knows, for the ceiling prevents higher understanding. One guess is as good as another. To fill the gap, philosophies and religions have been invented to explain existence, or deny there is anything more than the visible.

At times, something comes through from a higher energetic level, touches a person, and is inspirational, prompting a jump in understanding or creativity. We call it genius. This toddler playing the piano is an example of a higher level downloaded into human experience.

Perhaps the same could be said of Mozart. In his 35 years of life, he produced something like 800 pieces of music—symphonies, operas, concertos, and other complex pieces. He said music just came through him. He was the means of its expression; the music emerged into his awareness from a transcendent source and he wrote it down or played it.

The same could be said of Michelangelo. His seventeen-foot statue of David is awe-inspiring, as are his paintings in the Sistine Chapel. They touch something transcendent and remind us of the genius of spirit that may find expression through a person, even ourselves. This is why art can be so inspiring.

In the realm of science, one may think of Pythagoras or Sir Isaac Newton or of Albert Einstein, through whom a new view of the cosmos emerged—the relativity of time based on speed of movement, how gravity affects light and time, and the relationship of matter and energy. It was a leap forward in scientific understanding that, to me, goes beyond having a clever mind. Something came through him from a higher realm and produced a leap in understanding.

Athletes also have occasional extraordinary experiences; they call it being in the “zone.” One such was Bill Russell, a great basketball player with the Boston Celtics. He said, “At that special level, all sorts of odd things happened. The game would be in a white heat of competition, and yet somehow I wouldn’t feel competitive—which is a miracle in itself. I’d be putting out the maximum, straining, coughing up parts of my lungs as we ran, and yet I never felt the pain. The game would move so quickly that every fake, cut, and pass would be surprising. Yet nothing could surprise me. It was almost as if we were playing in slow motion. During those spells, I could almost sense how the next play would develop and where the next shot would be taken. Even before the other team brought the ball in bounds, I could feel it so keenly that I wanted to shout to my teammates, it’s coming there. Except, I knew that everything would change if I did. My premonitions would be consistently correct. And I always felt then that I not only knew all the Celtics by heart, but also all the opposing players and that they all knew me. There have been many times in my career when I felt moved or joyful, but these were moments when I had chills pulsing up and down my spine. Sometimes the feeling would last all the way to the end of the game. On the five or ten occasions when the game ended at that special level, I literally did not care who won. If we lost, I’d still be as free and high as a skyhawk.”

This is a clear description of connection to a higher presence. He saw from his own perspective, but also from an elevated level that included so much more. He experienced joy and was unconcerned about the result, immersed in the wonder of the flow of life. We may know this same experience when we let this higher energetic field show our hearts and minds the way. We may all be geniuses and live inspired lives in the small activities of daily life. Our acts may go unnoticed by others, but it does not matter. It is the experience that matters, not the result, and that brings joy.

There is no hard ceiling that confines us to two-dimensional lives, unless we make one. The Master spoke of connecting to what is higher, turning upward, not ruled by events or hemmed in by tradition, but directed from within; he called that higher state the kingdom of heaven. It is at hand, as he put it. The nonsense around us in the world of man should not rule our lives. From above, down, we bring the wonder of heaven into our worlds. It is why we are here.

We may have limitations of one sort or another, but they need not stop us, for we are so much larger than any circumstance. The higher energetic field is always available as guidance—the spirits of life, truth, and love. It enables us to do remarkable things, to live an inspired and inspiring life.

Joyce Krantz: Larry mentioned the phenomenon of being “in the zone.” That’s how athletes, musicians and artists describe a heightened state of consciousness where action flows effortlessly, time distorts and the sense of self fades into the background. It’s not just peak performance—it’s peak beingness.

We know these experiences. They are not unfamiliar to us. It may not have happened on a basketball court, but perhaps in another moment, where a window opened—perhaps in the forest, walking down the path and feeling inexplicably connected to everything around you as if the forest was speaking to you; or losing yourself in your work where space and time seemed non-existent. I have heard accounts of musicians describing new songs flowing through them, sometimes so fast they had to quickly write them down before they were gone. What is that? What if genius isn’t a trait, but a state—a moment of deep resonance within a field of understanding? In that case, anyone can touch genius through presence, stillness and alignment. And little child prodigies, like our three-year-old pianist Baby Barron, simply do it early, and often unconsciously.

This leads to my next subject—quantum entanglement. Now, full disclosure: I am not a scientist. But having acquainted myself recently with developments in this field, I think there are some interesting findings to share that may be pertinent to our consideration of consciousness. In 2022, three physicists were awarded a Nobel prize for their work on quantum entanglement. This is a phenomenon where particles become mysteriously linked so that the state of one instantly affects the state of the other, even across vast distances. The scientists took it further by demonstrating quantum teleportation—transferring information between entangled particles without any physical movement. These Nobel-winning experiments also reinforced the observer effect—the idea that the act of observation influences the outcome. Particles exist in a state of probability until observed. The old paradigm, “I think, therefore I am” has shifted to “I am, therefore I think.” In the quantum field, we get into the realm of “spooky science” that Albert Einstein described—telepathy, information downloads, synchronicity, etc. Everything is interconnected. Every action, thought, and deed has impact in and on the whole. You might remember the poem, “You cannot disturb the tiniest petal of a flower without the troubling of a distant star.” (Francis Thompson) So true!

In a metaphorical sense, quantum entanglement has moved scientific understanding from a flat map view—the two-dimensional level Larry spoke about—to a holographic globe where every point contains the whole. This shift also mirrors the evolution from external observation to internal participation. In the flat earth paradigm, the observer is outside the system. In the quantum paradigm the observer is entangled with the observed. Reality is participatory, not passive. Consciousness is not a by-product of the mind; it’s a fundamental dimension. We might describe it as the state of wholeness where presence, coherence and sacred attunement are not just practices but portals into oneness with universal reality. This suggests that separation is an illusion—a veil drawn by perception, not by reality. We might also see this as a scientific confirmation of what mystics have always known: that we are not isolated beings but expressions of the One Source. Everything in existence is inseparable from everything else. I say this discovery is not just a scientific revolution but a spiritual remembrance.

Now, how does this relate to our coming together in this moment? There’s another term used in physics called coherence. In physics, coherence refers to the degree to which waves like light, sound, or quantum wave functions, maintain a consistent and predictable relationship with one another over space and time. It’s a measure of how in sync they are. For our consideration, coherence is about order, harmony and resonance with the tone of life. It’s the difference between noise and music, chaos and pattern, fragmentation and flow. The more coherent the observer is, the more refined and unified the observed reality becomes. (What we express, we know!) When many particles become entangled, they form a coherent system. Similarly, when individuals align in presence and purpose, they generate collective coherence—a field that uplifts and harmonizes. This quantum coherence is fragile, yet powerful. Because it’s a refined field and the understanding of these things has been at such a coarse level, the finer levels have not been perceived or protected or cared for, which would let them come into awareness with greater clarity and soundness.

Helping humanity shift from fragmentation and separation to wholeness is how I see our roles at this time. The disruptions in the connection to Source, the field of wholeness, have resulted in a very chaotic, troubled, and seemingly random world. I say “seemingly” because in reality it is just the opposite. We remember the words in Genesis 1:26, “Let us make man in our image after our likeness,” signifying that God created Man to be an expression of Source—this glorious, dynamic, intelligent field of love, creativity and immense beauty. It is wired into our very spiritual DNA, our inner compass or guidance system. The potential of our coming together now (“co-here”) is to increase the bandwidth of this field of understanding and radiation. It is to sound the tone.

Now, if that seems a little heavy intellectually, I am going to bring it to a personal experience. I entitle this, “Clean up on Aisle Four.” I was at Costco the other day to pick up a large container of yogurt. When I pulled it out of the dairy case it slipped from my hands and landed upright at my feet. I knew it had definitely cracked by the sound it made hitting the concrete floor. Yogurt was slowly oozing out. As I started to reach down to lift it, a woman appeared from my left and effortlessly picked it up. I saw a lanyard around her neck holding an identification tag. Was she a store employee? I wondered. She headed straight down the aisle to a woman who was passing out food samples at her station. This woman told her where to deposit the container, then handed her paper towels and a spray bottle. In the meantime, I shielded the yogurt spill with my cart so nobody would walk into it and headed toward my “good Samaritan,” thanking her profusely for helping me. An older gentleman who was stocking shelves observed what was happening and said, “No, no, I can clean it up for you. Just leave the towels there.” “Daniel,” I said as I noticed his name tag, “thank you so much.” I turned to my good Samaritan and asked if she was a store employee and she said, “No, I just wanted to help.”

This interaction took less than five minutes. Despite the outer activity of cleaning up a broken yogurt container, something very dynamic was happening at a vibrational level. We could say it was a flow or a convergence of four people who didn’t know each other but whose hearts were filled with kindness and a desire to help. The impression I was left with as I departed the scene was the “clean up” of this world would be quite easily accomplished if resonance of heart was in the right place.

This magnificent design of life is a field of interconnectivity. No one is alone, even though some might think they are; they are not. We are all here for a beautiful purpose and as we connect in the quality and character of the source of love, resonance happens. I am so thankful for our gathering together consistently over many years providing a pulse for the expression of life— being in coherence.

Larry KrantzWe are in a time where many people are becoming aware of this higher understanding and function, even if called by various names and appearing in different ways. It is also a time when some people dig in their heels and desperately resist change.

If we think of consciousness as a body of water, the surface of it is what is happening now: the place of the present moment. Above that is a higher energetic field with transcendent understanding. It has no limit and may expand to cosmic consciousness. One spirit moves everywhere in the universe.

Below the water’s surface is the subconscious mind. It is the repository of memories, among other things. In a magical way, spirit lifts up appropriate forms so we know how to do things, like drive a car, or use a computer, or set the table. For most people, the subconscious mind is a tangled mess. Memories are a mixed bag of distorted beliefs and failures, often attached to hurts and pains, physically and emotionally; sometimes even traumas, all of which cause quite a disturbance. Add shame and guilt, stir in opinions and prejudices, and it leaves slim pickings for spirit to choose in the moment. This is why history—as people know it—repeats itself. Same old, same old.

If there is to be clarity of function, the subconscious mind needs to be cleansed, so that spiritually useful forms are readily available. Some try to uproot the dark areas with psychological techniques, but wrestling with them only draws them closer. Spirit knows how to clarify the realm of memory. It lifts up forms that are misshapen to be looked at. Have you ever had a memory pop up that was uncomfortable, something you said or the way you acted that you now see was not your finest moment? The tendency may be to feel ashamed and push it down again. But all that is needed is a gentle rebuke. A person can say, “That is not me now. I know better. I’ve grown and learned.” Let it go and move on. Such detritus will fade away. The old ways need not hold sway anymore.

This is how the subconscious is cleansed and becomes holy. “Blessed are the pure in heart.” (Mat. 5:8) This cleansing becomes almost automatic. If we know the tone of life, what is true and kind and generous, then we have no interest in what does not belong. It dies from disuse. If anything stirs up what is not resonant with that tone and it causes a reaction in us, then that form remains attached. With forms that are compatible with the tone of life, the conscious mind has tools to let us act wisely and creatively—and move gracefully with what comes from higher realms to clothe spirit in right forms.

We are connected subconsciously to one another and everyone. This is part of the magic of consciousness. We are one. It is how we may sense what others are doing or thinking, how we may reach for the phone before it rings, knowing who is calling. It is how we may move in sync with others. It is through these lines of connection that our lives have impact far beyond ourselves. We may feel imbalances in others and hold them in love, that they might rise up in understanding.

We are divine beings having a human experience. Knowing this is why we are here at this time. The true state of being is a place of peace and wonder: no death, no shame, only life and ease. Now, in this man-made world, consciousness is filled with noise and static; real knowing stays in the background as long as people are caught up in the tangled and messy state on earth. We understand this, and bring clarity to lift up understanding. We are very capable of being fully present in the world exactly as things are, using what is at hand wisely, taking into account the limitations of the human state.

Joyce mentioned entanglement. When we look at a star, it may seem to be an unfathomable distance away, yet we may sense oneness with that star, a connection—not surprising, for we are part of everything, even stars. Spirit moves everywhere at once, in us and in distant galaxies. Consciousness has no limits. The old, limited views are passing away. New vision and understanding come into awareness as consciousness lifts enough to receive the transcendent.

I will close with a few verses selected from the last two chapters of Revelation. It gives us a feel for the true state, the kingdom of heaven on earth, as it once was, and, as it will be once again:

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away, And I saw no temple therein; for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it… And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God… And they shall see his face: and his name shall be in their foreheads,,. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun, for the Lord God giveth them light. We are radiant people, here to express the wonder and beauty of transcendent being. Conscious understanding has no limits; it may be as wide as the sky. It is great to share these things with true friends.
