Nine of us gathered together for several days last weekend in the sacred sanctuary of Larry and Joyce Krantz’s home in Fort Collins, Colorado. We began last Friday evening, September 11th and concluded Monday morning, September 14th. I will begin our hour today, followed by Bill Bahan, Pamela Gray, and Larry Krantz. The other five who comprise our Tone of Life coordinators are Joyce Krantz, John Gray, Sanford Baran, Suzanne Core, and Linda Bahan.

You and I are among many who compose this spiritual body. Spiritual things may only be discerned spiritually; we know one another this way by reason of our generations, living in Attunement.

It’s been unseasonably dry this past year in Colorado, compounding the ever-present drought now quite commonplace throughout the U.S. West. A few weeks ago, on a hot Boulder afternoon, I was riding my Honda 50cc motor scooter to my favorite coffee shop downtown when I saw an ominous bank of dark clouds gathering over the mountains. Afternoon thunderstorms are part of the summer rhythm here: the sky darkens, the wind rises, and suddenly the whole atmosphere seems charged with possibility.

Maureen Lakin: Hello everyone. Thank you, Tom, for always welcoming us with a bright spark. And thank you, Sanford, as well, for always choosing the most appropriate and lovely music every time we gather.
I would like to start by reading these words of Martin Exeter’s:
“It wasn’t long ago when there was a recognition of a battle for the minds of men, and women too, presumably. Human beings are taken up with this battle, both being attacked and attacking. I’m sure somebody wants your vote; he has to grab hold of your mind to get it. Somebody wants to sell you his wares; he has to grab hold of your mind to do that. So we see a battle raging constantly. This battle might be seen symbolically as occurring between the heads of the dragon. They are all vying for first place. There is another battle, which is described in the book of Revelation: ‘There was war in heaven.’ Well, these battles I have been describing are occurring in the first heaven. That, after all, is where the dragon with his heads resides.

Greetings everyone. We have the opportunity now to allow something radiant to emerge from our combined presence.
I see two major inflection points on the road to spiritual understanding. The first one is simply to turn in the right direction, toward Source, which is not all that common in the world. For most people, it’s not even a conscious choice. The world is accepted as it is, with its messiness and wars and hypocrisy and anger and dishonesty and hurt hearts from failed relationships or inadequate parents, as well as a disregard for the natural world. Such people often do the best they can to succeed in this odd and bizarre world. Some do well, after a fashion, while many others struggle mightily.
